Hampton Court Ballet started in 2008 when it opened its doors to students training them in classical ballet. The school was founded by Lucas and Erica Jacinto, both former members of the highly esteemed Philippine Ballet Theatre (a resident company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines). The school is an affiliate of Team Dance Studio which was established in 1981. Being an affiliate school, Hampton Court ballet uses the fine tuned syllabus of Mr. Eli Jacinto. The syllabus is a training program that is geared towards preparing students for professional careers in dance. It consolidates the principles of classical ballet, modern jazz and contemporary technique.
The school's strength is the wealth of experience of its teachers in dance education and professional exposure. All teachers are professionals who have performed for reputable companies and productions. The teachers have very well rounded backgrounds with experience in more than one dance genre. The school is also blessed because Mr. Eli Jacinto who has been in the business of dance education for over 40 years mentors all the teachers sharing with them what he has learned through the years. This ensures that all teachers teach more than just dance technique in the studio. Dance ethics and value formation are also made part of the learning process.
Since its debut in 2008 it has staged recitals showcasing the students year after year. Its advanced students have also participated in a group called CODA, the professional touring group of Eli Jacinto affiliated schools. Hampton Court Ballet advanced students have also been given opportunities to perform professionally in Repertory Philippines, international festivals and commercial events. As the school progresses, it aims to bring more and more inspiring and challenging repertoire to the school’s program. The school aims to also give as much pre-professional and professional exposure to all the students to enhance their dedication, work ethics and love for the art. It's vision is to instill a burning passion for the arts and dance.
